Mom’s been worrying that I have lost my appetite since I got my first chemo last week.
But guess what! I still want to eat, just not my canned food! I used to love my Taste of the Wild duck. But after chemo, DUCK is YUCK! I used to love it, but not any more.
Mom finally wised up. Last night she gave me chicken and organic yogurt. Yum! And this morning I got organic cottage cheese and more yogurt and some kibble, all mixed together. I ate nearly all of it.
Mom had me sniff the canned duck again and I said: “You have got to be kidding me. Uck! Let Eddie eat it. He’ll eat anything!”
So I am happy and Eddie is very happy too.

Wow, you turned down duck? WOW! Well, we’re just so glad you’re eating, and such tasty foods too. Although I ate cottage cheese as part of my Budwig Anti-Cancer Protocol that I was following, just be careful with dairy, it can make some dogs really runny if you know what I mean.
wow, i’ve never even had a duck…good to know not to look for it though. glad you’re enjoying the cottage cheese – it’s a treat for me sometimes…but not too much (see jerry’s note above…)

Duck is yuck! LOL!!
Glad to hear you’re eating again though, little guy!
Great to hear that it was only a “change” of appetite and not a loss of appetite. Miss Cherry’s appetite was a moving target after she completed her chemotherapy and when her appetite did return to some degree. However, your appetite also sounds rather good – high protein. We wish you continued success.

Glad to hear that you are finding food you enjoy eating! Kobe hasn’t gone through a loss of appetite (knocking on wood as I type this) but I can imagine how worrying that is for Mom!! I love the pictures you have on your blog – what a cutie!! I read your comments on our blog and I think Kobe’s amputation was 1 day before James but I think that’s close enough 🙂 We’ll continue to send good thoughts your way!!

Way to go James! I told you all you had to do was pretend like you won’t eat your normal food and your pawrents will give you some really good stuff! Keep on eating buddy-you will need to keep your strength up.
